A Psychological Approach to Cancer

Cancers are due to an uncontrolled proliferation of abnormal cells. It is not inco*1' ceivable that the matrix in which these new growths take place may be influence by factors which affect the general physical state. Such factors include the nervo115 system and endocrine glands, which in their turn can undoubtedly come unde| emotional influences. It is a speculative possibility therefore that some cancers mig*1 be affected by psychological factors. From time to time, some clinicians have though' in individual cases, that this might be so.
